Dogs are kind of the Ethel Merman of animals. Could just be me though. She may be a little more antisocial than other women you've dated. It's a stereotype, but definitely true for some women! For instance, me. She knows there are guys who are allergic to cats and other guys who are "allergic to cats," so if you're just "allergic to cats," she's onto you. In other words, don't pretend you're allergic if you just don't like when the girl you're dating has a cat. She's not afraid to call you out on it.

Cats aren't "ungrateful" or "mean" just because they don't bolt up to you when you walk in the door and act all needy. Cats just prize sleeping over most other activities, which is perfectly respectable. Seeing the guy you're dating pick up and cuddle your cat gives you the same or more intense feeling as when you see him hold a baby. The cat is permanent; you're replaceable.

Sorry, that's just the way it is. So, when I come home he is just really happy to see me, he gives me smooches, jumps up, you know he is just so happy to see me. Just knowing that there is that to come home to rather than just an empty house is nice. Hey Rosy why are cats better than men? They eat less food, and they're cleaner. Would you say you're more drawn to animals than humans in general? Well cats are more devoted than some people are. People can be just very nasty and mean, you know—manipulators and all that. Animals, you just give them food and love and they're totally devoted to you.

How did your love for cats begin? I grew up in a family and we had cats from a young age. My parents liked cats a lot, so we had them around constantly while I was growing up. How long have you been single for? I never got married, I never met the right person so it never happened. Yes definitely. You know my pets are my family. Hence calling her book Cat Women. She will keep collecting photographs of women and their cats, keeping their memory alive in some way, humanising these females who history might have found unfit for society.
